President's Message
It has been a long time since we felt the rain and it is sure welcomed by everyone. The flowers are standing tall and the grass looks greener. The dry spell has affected our water storage and we were asked to cut back on our usage. Though the rains have arrived we still need to be conservative with the use of water because it is going to take awhile to raise our water levels. Thank you to those who helped in the effort to reduce your water usage. May I suggest that we store some water for our family's use for at least 3 days.

Annual Meeting
Saturday, July 28 is the day of our annual potluck, with a variety of food, at the Kalopa State Park starting at 11:30 a.m. We decided to switch the potluck to a Saturday since many members attend church on Sunday. Our association will provide paper goods and drinks. We will have a general meeting to update our community on the Sand Gulch and the By Pass. Mary Souza will present the preliminary emergency plan for our community. We will welcome suggestions from our members and any volunteers to work with us to keep our community safe in a time of need. We will need to know where the skills and those with equipment are, and if they are willing to help in case of a disaster.

We will have a bingo game to top off the day. It has always been a fun time and a time to mingle and getting to know our neighbors If anyone wishes to donate a prize for our bingo game, please call one of our board members or bring it to the potluck. Thank you.

PMKCA Logo
Our logo is done and ready for sale. Jim Reddekopp did a wonderful job with the design and the color. It will be available to all who wish to identify themselves as a part of our community. It will be available at the meeting or you may call any board member to help you acquire your logo. I am sure you will be proud of your identity.

Roads
Some of us are concerned about the conditions of our roads so we will be involved with a survey of our roads. There are potholes, tree roots pushing up the pavement and some of our roads are still graveled. When we have a report that we will send to the Dept of Public Works we will share it with you... We will be happy to have you share your input with pictures and data. You may stop by my home with this information or mail your findings to our association's P. O. Box 408 Paauilo, Hawaii 96776.

Aloha
