December 2006 Newsletter

President's Message: Appreciation
I want to express my thanks to our community for the support and participation at our November 21st meeting with Mr. Bruce McClure, the Director of Public Works, and his staff. About 150 people attended the meeting. Everyone who attended had an opportunity to express their opinion and many good ideas were generated. We did not get all the answers we wanted, but we were well informed of the plans they are working on to help open a roadway for those who now who have to travel so far.

Mr. Bruce McClure has asked for a meeting with our community on December 13, 2006, at 7:00 p.m. at the Pa`auilo School. He will have some of his staff with him to inform and answer questions on the by-pass road and Sand Gulch. Your concerns are real, and if we work together we can help each other make life a little more pleasant.

January Annual Meeting
I have asked the Civil Defense to do a presentation at our January 16, 2006 meeting to help us with planning for a disaster. Dominic Yagong, our new Council member, will up-date us on the Sand Gulch, the by- pass road and the harvesting of the trees. Please mark your calendar for the 16th. More information will be sent in our January e-newsletter.
